Where Europe Ends And Begins Anew

---

Beschreibung:

In images and words, photographer Christian Muhrbeck and writer Ilija Trojanow lead us into the fascinating worlds of the Balkans: to unusual celebrations, archaic rituals, forgotten places, and the echoes of a layered past. With an empathetic gaze they portray the people of the region - what distinguishes them, and what brings them together. Thus unfolds a vivid panorama beyond all clichés. In many dimensions - whether in its multicultural realities or its migrations, its Sufism or its pagan rites - it becomes evident that Europe ends here where it forever begins anew.
